When I first talked to Carl, he had some really strange information to give me. For one thing, there are different time lines with different historical outcomes. In one timeline, Hitler won World War II. In another, the South won the Civil War. In yet another time-line John Kerry is president, and on still another yet, Colin Powell is president. In one situation Carl arrived in a place where small children were kept in cages and sold. He purchased a little girl and helped her find her way to freedom just as the line between dimensions was closing in on him. One of the strangest things that has happened to Carl is when he received an hdr from another dimension. It was built exactly like Steve Gibbs' hdr unit, but the component parts were different. When he photographed it, he saw "ghost cords" on the film (after he ad it developed). Although there were no actual cords, the "ghost cords" photographed were where they were to have been placed on the Gibbs hdr. So technology can remain the same in different dimensions.
